Los Angeles County Federation of Labor Endorses Jeannine Wisnosky Stehlin for Culver City Council
CULVER CITY, Calif. – Jeannine Wisnosky Stehlin, candidate for Culver City City Council, has earned the endorsement of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO, one of the largest and most influential labor organizations in the region.
The LA Fed is a federation of more than 300 affiliated unions and worker organizations representing more than 800,000 members across Los Angeles County. Its members work in industries ranging from education and healthcare to hospitality, entertainment, public service and the building trades.
“I’m incredibly honored to once again earn the endorsement of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor,” said Wisnosky Stehlin. “The labor movement has been part of my family for generations. My great-grandfathers were union coal miners, my grandparents were union factory workers, and my parents were public-sector union members. I’ve been a proud SAG-AFTRA member for 33 years, and my daughter, a public school teacher and UTLA member, is now the fifth generation of our family to belong to a union.”
Wisnosky Stehlin is the only union member running for Culver City Council in 2026. She currently serves on the SAG-AFTRA Hollywood Local Women’s Committee and previously served for two years on the union’s Government Affairs and Public Policy Committee. Her husband is also a member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity.
“I know what unions have meant to my family and to millions of working families,” Wisnosky Stehlin said. “They have helped generations of workers earn fair wages, benefits, safer working conditions and the opportunity to build a better life for their families. I’m proud to stand with working people and to bring that perspective to the City Council.”
Wisnosky Stehlin supports good-paying jobs, workforce development and apprenticeship opportunities that create pathways into the skilled trades and other careers. She believes workers should have a voice in decisions that affect their jobs, families and communities.
The 2026 endorsement continues Wisnosky Stehlin’s longstanding relationship with organized labor. The Los Angeles County Federation of Labor also endorsed her campaign for Culver City Council in 2024. She has also earned the endorsements of IBEW Local 11 and IBEW Local 40 in the 2026 race. Wisnosky Stehlin is a small business owner and longtime Culver City community leader who has called Culver City home for more than 26 years. Her campaign is focused on quality of life, traffic and mobility, affordability and fiscal responsibility, City and schools working together, safe neighborhoods and emergency preparedness, and transparency and accountability in City government.
“I’m proud to have support from working people across our region,” Wisnosky Stehlin said. “As both a union member and a small business owner, I understand that a strong local economy depends on businesses that can succeed and workers who can earn a good living. Culver City is strongest when we bring people together and make sure everyone has an opportunity to thrive.”
