IBEW Local Union 11 Endorses Jeannine Wisnosky Stehlin for Culver City Council
CULVER CITY, Calif. – Jeannine Wisnosky Stehlin, candidate for Culver City City Council, has earned the endorsement of IBEW Local Union 11, representing skilled electrical workers throughout Los Angeles County.
Wisnosky Stehlin is the only union member running for Culver City Council in 2026 and has been a member of SAG-AFTRA for 33 years.
“I’m incredibly proud to once again have the support of IBEW Local 11,” said Wisnosky Stehlin. “I come from a long line of union families. My great-grandfathers were union coal miners, my grandparents were union factory workers, and my parents were public-sector union members. I’ve been a proud SAG-AFTRA member for 33 years, and my daughter, a public school teacher, is now the fifth generation of our family to belong to a union. I know firsthand what unions have meant to generations of working families.”
Wisnosky Stehlin believes Culver City can play an important role in creating pathways to good-paying careers by supporting workforce development, apprenticeships and opportunities in the skilled trades.
“Apprenticeship programs give people the opportunity to learn a skilled trade, earn while they learn, and build a pathway to a good-paying career,” Wisnosky Stehlin said. “I want Culver City to be a city that supports those opportunities and recognizes the important role union workers play in building and maintaining our community.”
Wisnosky Stehlin is a small business owner and longtime Culver City community leader who has spent more than 26 years working in and serving the community. Her campaign is focused on quality of life, traffic and mobility, affordability and fiscal responsibility, City and schools working together, safe neighborhoods and emergency preparedness, and transparency and accountability in City government.
The IBEW Local 11 endorsement marks the second consecutive City Council election in which the union has endorsed Wisnosky Stehlin.
